Audioquest YIQ5 component video cables...WTF

Can someone explain to me, how in god's name a 1 Meter Component video cable (Audioquest YIQ5) can be $650.00. You could buy a really good A/V Reciever or DVD player for that amount of money. How does Audioquest get away with this crap, and is thier any REAL science behind these cables.

PS. Are Ultralink brand cables reccomended on this site.

They charge that much because people are willing to pay that much. If you think that's bad, Transparent Cable sells their their top-end speaker cables for $30,000/pr (they're like 2m long). Now what could you do with all THAT money?
