Audiophilish furniture ;-)

Hey guys,

A lil' introduction ;-) For a while my brother and I were thinking about creating a Perfect Audiophilish Table (TM. :p) that'd suit all the hi-fi'ic needs. Top of the notch, best materials, intruding design and all!

We've got a small family-run metalworks business, so we've got a solid production background.

Now, we're lacking some of the practice hi-fi knowledge, as we're not much of audiophiles to tell the truth - and so, here am I, writing this post, hoping that some of you may answer my questions! Any info is going to be much appreciated.

So tell me guys, lets say we'd like to construct something like this www(dot)hififorum.co.uk/modules/myalbum/photo.php?lid=78 - right?

Tell me, if you had to chose, what would you pick: a wooden table top, one made of aluminium or a marble one? Each of the material has a different 'vibes transmission' properties. Which one do you consider best?

How many shelfs? 2? or more?

Do you think that each table top and the table as whole should be separated from the metal frame / ground by those little brass cones? Do they make a difference? (Can be seen here www(dot)hififorum.co.uk/modules/myalbum/photo.php?lid=129 )

Please, pardon my ignorance if those things are obvious. As stated before, i'm not very audiophilic at all (but I do enjoy music very much :))

Thank you very much for your time y'all. Please, do not take it as a joke!

Best regards
