Audiophiles, Please Help!

I am looking to outfit my new home with my first premium sound system. I am trying to decide between two packages. I need your help to decide what is best. My listening priorities go about 80% music, 20% movies.

Package 1 - All new equipment -Rotel RX-1052 receiver
-B&W DM604 S3 speakers
$2,300.00

Package 2 - 2yr old equipment
excellent condition - Marantz Ref. Series SR-19 receiver
- Marantz Ref. Series DV-18 MKII dvd
- B&W DM604 S3 speakers
- Marantz RC5000 remote
- Definitive tech. center spk. ( UIW 75)
- Def tech. rear spkrs (UIW BP/As)
$2,500.00

Is this receiver enough to push those B&Ws? What should I go with?
Any help would be appreciated.

this is all about personal preference.

Inj my considered opinion, Iwould go about listening to these systems with an ear towards their ability to produce music, not a movie. IOW, grab a bunch of music CD's and hit the listening rooms. It doesn't take much for a HT system to wow someone. Once you find a system that satisfies your taste in music, satisfying HT will follow. It does not work both ways.

And, on top of markw's comment, I would add that speakers are the components that you hear, not CD players, etc. Once you have the speakers you want, then you need an amp/receiver to drive this speaker load. So, speakers first.
