After seven years of grueling work, we decided it was time to celebrate the fruits of our labor. With that in mind we hosted a night of celebration, live music, dance, fine dining, and prize giveaways to 65 of our closest staff members, family, friends and sponsors in the luxurious ballroom at the Marriot Hotel in Tampa, Florida.

Audioholics Party

Please provide feedback, interest, etc regarding future Public Audioholics parties.

I think there should be a big AH get-together for everyone, including the forum members. Not sure WHERE, but I think it'd be a good time.

I would like to see more pictures of the event. Are those pictures posted taken with a cellphoen camera? (no offense, but aside from an audioholic, I'm also a digital camera-holic.)

Sorry for the bad pics but in all of the confusion and rush for making party preps, I forgot my digital camera in our hotel room and had to rely on others less than perfect shots ;)

We will likely hold a public party at one of the trade shows such as Cedia or CES in the future or in my home state of Florida to avoid another plane trip

Gene, I will make you a deal. I will be the official Audioholics photographer at the next party and I work cheap, free even. I am fairly handy with a camera :)

Congratulations on 7 years! Sadly, I have only known about Audioholics for about 10 months...

Keep up the excellent work! This site is an absolute fountain of good solid information. The forum members are astute and responsive to the, sometimes, silly questions asked by those of us who are new to the realm of high-quality audio & video.

I truly enjoy visiting the Audioholics site on a daily basis to see what's "new and improved" as well as getting my daily dose of the always interesting, often controversial and frequently funny forum postings! :D

I have to echo Hopjohn's comments - congratulations on bucking the odds and becoming such a success. Like you said in the article, it's clearly because of the people involved and their principles :)

And geez, right in Tampa, home of the in-laws! We're down there a couple of times every year - I really have been jonesing for a night at Bern's... Another event in Tampa, say in March next year, would be great!

All;

Thanks for the great compliments.

You know I love a good steak as much as anyone but I still haven't dined at Bern's yet. I heard its very good, especially the wine list.

FYI, there is a killer Argentina syle place called Latin Grill off of Tampa Road in Oldsmar that IMO has some of the best steaks I ever had the pleasure of eating. Best of all the prices are very reasonable :)

You deserve it.

I would like to say, that this site should be given a nobel price for having a major role in Home theater "cleanup"(I don't care if that doesn't make sense). Providing truth and DBT for everyone one seeking answers, for free.

Gene, You said you love canada alot, why not have this public party in BC, during the summer its hot, and nowhere near has humid as florida. Heck, you can stay at my house for free. :p

Thanks for the generous offer. However, we are planning on hosting this party at one of the trade shows to have a common area where all can come.

As somebody who lives in Central Florida, Tampa would work for me!!! I'd love to visit any local companies for a "get together". I used to do it all the time in South Florida. Some of the best ideas are shared on the local level.

Now if you're going to talk food in the Tampa area, you have got to head over to Columbia Restaurant in Ybor City! The Paella "A la Valenciana" is the BOMB!
