I had the pleasure of meeting with CJ Gallo, with Planet Waves, an D'Addario & Company, Inc. at the 2008 Audioholics show. It was there that I realized that I must have been living under a rock, as I was blown away by his cable making kit. I have no idea why I had not seen this mentioned in the forums before. Possibly it has been, in which case I missed it previously and am bummed for not discovering this earlier.

His demo, which I have a video link up of it here, was quite impressive to say the least. I, like many of you, like to "screw" with my system on a regular basis, moving cables around, seeing if I can wire it up better, or just moving components around. It usually starts out looking good, but after awhile, no matter what I try, it always ends up a cable mess or just alot of extra cable tucked under my cabinet.

I was stunned by his products ease of use in creating custom cut cables that would totally clean up my system. (Please see the video link above to see just how fast it is.) Here is a link to the Planet Waves web site. Be sure to check out the "Home theater cable kits" link.

Now, while I can not attest to the SQ of this product, I can attest that the cables "feel" of high quality and the connectors are very solid and everything looks really nice and the connectors are screwed on so they can be reused over and over again.

If any of you have any experiance with these cable kits, I would like your thoughts on them.

Ok, ok, getting off my chair now.

Good work CJ and it was really nice to meet you.
