I was hoping someone may give me some advice on how to set up multiple speakers for audio only. I have a total of 10 outdoor spearkers that I would like to run. I have a few receivers but not sure if I can utilize these to play one audio source or if I need to get an distribution amplifier for one receiver. If a distribution amplifier is needed could someone recommend one that won't break the bank.
If you don't need high volume (SPL), look at the Dayton MA-1240. The channels can be bridged if more power is needed and it will allow connecting all of the speakers without needing an impedance matching device.

If you want to use several receivers and/or integrated amplifiers to play the same thing, use the one that has the sources plugged into it as the distribution device and connect from its record out to the tape input (or aux, etc) on one of the others. If you have more than one Record Out on that receiver, you may need to assign the second one but if they're older, the Rec Out is active all the time unless you have a Record Out selector, in which case you would set it to 'Source'. You can use Y cords but you can also use the Rec Out of the one that is connected to the main receiver. You can connect just about as many amplifiers as you want, as long as they all have the speakers connected correctly. The Rec Out is buffered, so you can either use a couple of Y cords or cascade them (I prefer this method to Y cords).
