Audio setup for PS3 with Onkyo TX-SR605??

Hi. Im in the process of getting a Onkyo TX-SR605 receiver, and Harman/Kardon HKTS 11 speakers. However, all this talk about LPCM/bitsteaming, and the crazy amount of formats has left me utterly confsued.

Will this setup of connections work? This is only a 5.1 system:

PS3->605 using HDMI.
605->TV using HDMI.
DVD/VCD player -> TV using component.
TV->605 using optical.

Will this work? I want all sound to come from my speakers, including sound from TV channels, if possible.

Also, what audio settings should i use on my PS3?

It will work, the PS3 will decode the HD sound formats and output them in PCM. If you set the PS3 to bitstream you will get the DD/DTS core signal only, that is no DD TrueHD and DTS HD.
