Dear friends, I need your kind help.
A little issue about the audio quality that I can play on my system, a Pioneer VSX-534 receiver, with a Blu-Ray Player LG BP450.
I read in the manual of
my receiver that it can play, in PCM format (2 channels or multichannel), audios with a sample frequency of
32 to 192 kHz.
I also read in the manual of
my bluray player that it plays (sends to the receiver) audio with a
32-48 kHz frequency sample for WMA files (as I show in the image below).
I think that, due to the limitations of my bluray player (according to his specifications, mentioned above), that I can't play a FLAC file, for example, with a 96 kHz frequency sample, let alone 192 kHz , as the maximum that it would play would be 48khz, as mentioned above. I have countless FLAC tracks with these parameters, and my receiver would be able to play them, but due to the limitations of my bluray, I cannot listen to them in my receiver with this frequency sample. Am I right?
But what makes me even more confused is that in the bluray player manual, in the Audio settings, three options are shown to choose the frequency sample: 48khz, 96khs and 192khz. (as I show in the image)
Why the hell do they offer the latter two (96khs and 192khz), if the device has a maximum frequency sample of only 48 kHz, as shown in audio format specifications at the end of the manual?
Do I have to buy another Bluray Player to listen to 96khs and 192khz tracks?
