audio output questions

on the back of my toshiba tv there is a bunch of av in spots and then i came across an audio and video output on my tv.. i have the right connectors to hook it up to my speakers but in the menu of the tv i see nowhere at all to use that audio out... in the audio menu i have surround sound on/off and like the setting for bass and treble etc any ideas what i need to do?

What is it that you are trying to do? If you want to connect the tv to a receiver all you have to do is connect analog audio cables from the audio out of the tv to an unused input on the receiver. Some TVs will not send the audio out of the audio out jacks if the internal speakers are on - but my Toshiba TV does not behave that way.

Most likely, you do not have to do anything in the menu. Have you hooked it up yet to see if it works?
