I recently purchased a set of JBL LSR305 studio monitors to use with my computer at home. I am fairly knew to the world of computer audio. My experience is mostly with car audio. I am trying to decide what to purchase as an interface between my laptop and the speakers. Currently I am looking at the possibility of either an external USB sound card like the Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi HD USB Audio System or a DAC such as the NuForce uDAC3 I figured I would ask those with some experience since I found reading through the data I found online quite confusing. I am trying to keep the budget below $150. Do either of the two options I listed above work or is there another route that I should be taking?
