Hi Everybody,

Would you please tell me the difference between dts-HD Master Audio 5.1 and dts-HD High Resolution Audio 5.1?
They both sound the same to my ears (if I'm correct, both formats are lossless). But is there a real difference between the two formats? Is one better than the other?

Thank You

They're identical except that DTS-HD MA is losslessly encoded with a variable bit rate with a much higher bandwidth ceiling (24.5 Mb/s for Blu-ray and 18.0 Mb/s for HD DVD). DTS-HD HR is limited to a constant bit rate of 6.0 Mb/s and 3.0 Mb/s for Blu-ray and HD DVD, respectively.
