So, the new receiver (Onkyo 805) has arrived and I have a set of dipole/bipole rear speakers. They can be switched to activate either the center cone by itself, the side cones with no center, or all three at once. Which setting should be used to run the Audessey auto-calibration for the 8 seating poisitions?

The mode that will be primarily used. Which speakers are you using?

I have the CSW MC305, S205 and P205 set. Yeah yeah, had I known everyone here thought so ill of CSW at the time, I wouldn't have bought 'em, but they had roped me in with a 40% off sale :p

Edit: These are the S205s - http://www.cambridgesoundworks.com/store/category.cgi?category=spk_surround&item=53CW0010AA001

I suppose I might as well ask this also. I just noticed that specs for the surrounds say 100W, but the fronts are 150W...am I in trouble with a 130W receiver like the 805 or can I tell it to limit output to the surround speakers?

I've never known CSW as bad stuff. Not by a long shot.

thanks hehe...

As I understand it, the general consensus (I was told) is that since being bought by Creative, CSW went more mass marketing/mass produced, which I guess turns people off because it makes the quality control more suspect.

I'll be honest though, using them with the crappy receiver I previously had while I waited for the new toy to arrive (it would only drive the fronts and sub)...had me seriously drooling for the opportunity to get down to business with a serious receiver.
