Attachment space?

Is it possible to up the attachment space limit for users over a certain post count? I only have 1mb, and ran out quickly ... and still have some nice shots I'd like to post.

Space is the cheapest part of hosting ... seems the Admins here would rather have attachments than links, since they can then own the images and they're guaranteed not to disappear as links die.

Last time I checked this was a free site. Like Seth suggested, there are plenty of free picture hosting sites available that are very easy to use. I have over 800 pictures and a couple dozen videos on my photobucket account and never had a problem linking them here.
