Atlantic Technologies P-2000 $550

Selling an almost new P-2000. Picked it up a year ago. Still has warranty, and I will try to see if it is transferable. I bought this intending to give one of my friends or family a nice processor, but no one has a system they can use this in. It is still in the original box with all manuals. I can't find the remote, and I don't think it ever came with one. I think you can pick one up for about $40, or use a universal if you have one. I compared it to my Sherwood Newcastle, and I couldn't tell a difference in sound or video, although the Sherwood has a few more bells and whistles. I think this used to retail for about $2000 and is very similar to an Outlaw. In fact, they look identical.

OK, you made me look. I mean seriously look. I guess it's only fair to tell you why I don't jump.

This is most similar to the Outlaw 970 which sell new for $699 or B-stock $649. Once I pay $500 to you plus shipping and a new remote, I'm sure to be over $600. Still cheaper, but this will not transcode composite or S-video to component or show the OSD over component, where the Outlaw does. Also, the Outlaw also has DVI. These additional features on the Outlaw would be useful to me.

I'm sort of half in/half out on the need for a separate pre/pro. In one sense, I'd like to hold out for the HDMI 1.3 units. In another sense, I'd be happy to find a screaming deal on something that would allow me to hold off buying an HDMI 1.3 unit. While you may feel like your getting boned by selling this for $500, unfortunately it's not the screaming deal I'm looking for.

I'm not trying to bash your device or anything. I just want to let you know I did look seriously and give you some feedback on what I've found.

No prob Dave, and thanks for looking. By the way, I do have the remote. Sorry, thought I edited that. I found it still in the wrapper in my HT box. Put in some batteries and it lights up. I have this P-2000 on Ebay as well. Sale ends in about 23 hours. If it doesn't sell, make me an offer. You never know. Thanks.
