Ifyou curently have the Athena Audition speakers as your mains, then yes.

If not, then I would recommend you stick to the same line from the same manufacturer.

But do their speakers deliver high quality sound? Are they reliable? I don't have any speakers from them yet, and they seem to have a nice price.

They are owned by API (Audio Products International) which is a very popular, and reputal name.

If you are going to buy that center, you should buy matching mains (from Athena Audition Series 2).

IMNSHO, yes to the first question and an unqualified yes to the second.

I've only had my Athena Audition speakers (first generation) for eleven months, but I'm knocked out by the sound quality. Athena seems to have the reputation of being the "best bang for the buck" speaker. I wouldn't hesitate recommending Athenas to anybody.

cheers,

I love mine

I also have first generation AS-F2 Fronts and an Athena center and have been really happy with them for both music and movies. I got interested in them from some great product reviews, gave them a listen, and I was sold. I haven't heard the new versions myself, but if they perform like the first ones they are a steal IMHO.

I recently got the whole Audition .2 line(7.1) but all I have to compare it to is a much more humble HTIB(Onkyo HT-S780) which they easly blow out of the water. So to me, yes they sound amazing and definatly great bang/buck ratio. I just wish I had more to compare it to.

love my set.... clarity, crispness from the center is quite nice. I doubt I'll be upgrading this set for a long, long time.

Awesome, I just got my C1.2 center today.:)

I'll be getting their mains too.:D

Would you reccomend a better sub then their's? Or should I just get their sub as well?

Which sub? I review there older sub (AS-P400) and its a great movie sub, but not the tightest for music.

If they are on sale, they are a decent deal. HSU would also be a contender.
