Which of the following is better?

HSU Ventriloquist VT-12 and STF-1/2
-or-
Athena Point 5 MK II and AS-P300

Also, what is a good amplifier to compliment either of these systems?

If there are other speaker solutions in this price range, feel free to mention them. Surround sound is preferable, budget is about 600 dollars (for speakers, sub, and amp).

I have some more thoughts on this, but I don't want to influence your judgement with these specific concerns...yet.

Thanks,

Daniel

I'm sure I'm not the only one who has seen your posts on both AudioReview and the Asylum.

Maybe if you narrow it down to either two or five channels, you'll get some more answers.

Thank you for your kind and very helpful reply. Unfortunatley, there are some newbies on here that do not frequent other sites and would be interested in knowing people's thoughts on these speakers sets. A search for the Hsu system on various threads returns very little useful information.
