what do you guys that happen to own these or the as b2.1-2 use to connect the wire? u use bare wire or spades or what? I have a pair and It doesnt seem to accept banana plugs and I bought some spades from parts express but they didnt fit I dunno even what these are fore they did fit any speakers in my house. so if there are just different size spades or whatever I could use some advice of what to use aside from bare wire if u even can use anything eles. thanks

I used bananas with the B1s I had, worked fine. Do the 1.2s use a different connector? Nothing wrong with bare wire though. There are different size spades, so maybe you just got the wrong ones?

They do accept banana plugs.

How are you trying to insert them? They go straight in the top of the connectors. Perhaps there are plugs in the holes?

I use bare 12 gauge wire connection. Works just fine.

I have my asb2's and asb1's terminals connected with bare wire. I however, use banana connectors for the receiver because it makes for a easier connection but sound wise there's no advantage.

Just what I was going to suggest. I'll bet it has the caps on the ends of the binding posts, which is prohibiting the banana plugs from going into the plug.

In the past, I've had to unscrew each binding post hold-down. With the cap removed, you usually just flip the cap over and use a small screwdriver to pop the plug out. You can then screw the cap back onto the rest of the binding post and the bananas should fit correctly.

I believe, the plugs are installed so that those crazy Europeans don't think the binding post is an electrical outlet - as their plugs look similar to a banana plug.

thanks everyone it does have caps I had never been abil to get them off before I dunno why but I finally got them off and I will be buying some bananas for them. I dont like bare wire because well I find it a pain to put in I always end up not being abil to fit it in and 1 of the 18 little copper wires bends off and sticks outside and well its just a pain bananas are much easier I use them for the back of the reciever.thanks again to everyone that helped
