I'm seriously considering getting the Sierra Tower Bamboo Loudspeaker for my 2.0 rig for downstairs. I really like all the specs and measurements I've found and their finish options is something I have to consider. I've always been one to put more importance with how a speaker sounds VS how it looks. This will be the first time aesthetics will be one of the big factors in deciding which speakers to get. I've really grow to love ribbon tweeters so the RAAL upgrade will hopefully make these a mostly perfect speaker for the room. The room itself is about 25x15, but the section I plan to put them it is about 15x15 with left of the speakers being an open room. I'll be sitting around 12' from the face of the speaker. They will be placed around 7.5' apart. I unfortunately don't have space for a sub so hopefully these will dig down as deep as I'd like. With an f3 of 34hz it seems that they will.

Me and wifey recently purchased furniture for this room that is a dark color. Expresso finish should match nicely. I was going to try to fit some bookshelf speakers in the TV hutch, but I'd like a large TV and don't want to sacrifice the space (plus I'd rather have floorstanders since I can't use a sub.)

I've looked around at other brands and these seem to fit the bill for me all around. I'd like to stay under $3k for just the speakers, but if anybody has any other suggestions I'd love to hear them. Also, do any of you happen to own or have heard the Sierra's with the RAAL upgrade?

The Salk Songtower with RAAL is a great value at this price range, it goes pretty much head to head with the Sierra Tower. I think its $200 more than the Sierra towers. You can actually get them in bamboo as well, although that upgrade is $300 and after tax would push the cost over 3k.

I really wish I could find some of these locally to listen to. The Ascends were heavenly, at least in their listening room.
