Ascend Sierra 2's on order!!

With all the stellar feedback on the Sierra 2's I pulled the trigger last night. Was really hoping to find a cheaper set but from what I hear there is nothing like the new Sierra's.. Looking forward to the new 2.1 set up..
Really curious to how this new set up will compare to my out going Polk LSi-15's. I read some old reviews on the Polk's late last night and it got me worried a little. The LSi-15's got stellar reviews too...

LSi-15 is a floorstander with a huge woofer. I haven't heard them before, but comparing them to a bookshelf, you are going to need to understand that just because of physics alone, the two are going to sound very different.

For the treble, I am better the Sierra-2 won't be as pronounced, but will have more detail.

I am looking for more detail. Sound stage and imaging too. My Polk's are good. They just seem to be flat or something. I can not put my finger on what is going on with them. I haven't liked them that much since day one. That was almost two years ago when I got them.

Imaging on the Sierra-2's are suppose to be stellar....and that is saying something since that is one of the hallmarks of Ascend's characteristics.

By all accounts, a great speaker.

Take the Sierra-2's and compare them.

One thing for sure is that the sierra 2 uses top quality parts. It is hard to break the deal.
As far as experience with the sierra 1 , they have pinpoint imaging and great punch of bass. The sierra are suppose to improve uppon the midrange and high frequencies. One thing i noticed with raal on my pair of speakers, is that the cymbal and triangles sounds way more natural and real then any dome i have heard. I have my fund reserved for something else, others wise i would give a sierra 2 upgrade a shot.

Congrats, that is awesome, the sierra 2's are on my list, I have 2 pairs of sierra 1's {one upgraded one not}. I'll wait for a used set or b stock, I am allergic to paying full price for something I don't need, but these have me wanted to do so, so badly...

Interested in seeing reviews for sure. The under $2k bookshelf speaker category just got a lot more competitive.
