If you haven't used Massdrop before, the way it works is that you "commit" to buying the item at a certain price and if they get enough commitments at that price level you get the discount. You are not charged until the "drop" is over (unless you use PayPal, then they place a hold). If you don't get enough commitments for your price level then your transaction is cancelled.
