Are these RBH speakers a steal, if so which are best?

I know some of you have seen numerous posts by me trying to put my first HT together and that I have swung back and forth. Well, I have bought everything, including projector, screen, receiver, etc, but I am still bogged down on speakers and very overwhelmed.

I think I may have found some I love, but would like to get some input and see if these seem to be as good a deal as the salesman is making them out to be.

I just went and listened to 2 different speakers. They are all 3 years old and were used in the studio for auditioning he tells me.

1. RBH-T2 - RBH T-2 Tower Speaker
The actual ones I would get are black, not the wood grain. The pair would be $3000.0 and come with 2 SA-400 Mono Amps.

The matching Center is a RBH-T1 for $1000.

So basically would get the 2 towers, 2 amps and a center for $4000.00

The second option is:

2x RBH-1266 SE/R's for $2000 for the pair. http://www.rbhsound.com/1266ser.php

I know these are used, but according to what he is telling me the first ones are about $11,000 for a pair new.

They did sound fantastic, but I just don't want to overpay for some used speakers if they are not really worth it.

Thanks for any input, would love to get some speakers soon, but don't want to make a bad move.

You would not be overpaying to get a set of T2's with the center and amp for $4000.

Unlike electronics finding a good deal on used speakers that are a few years old and will come with a warranty is smart shopping. Do you have enough room for those monsters?

Yes, my dedicated media room is 16'wx24' long. My 120" Screen, centered on the 16' wall leaves plenty of room for these speakers. My ceilings are only 8', so not sure if these things would be too much, but damn did they sound amazing in their showroom. I guess the term you audiophiles use is Soundstage? but it sounded like I was in a Hi-Fi Cinema watching a movie.

That's an incredible deal!

I used to own 1266-SE/R's and had tears in my eyes when I traded them out for a pair of T2's. I did direct side by side comparisons before I decided to do that.

I now use the T30-LSE's and T-1/SER which I will soon be selling and trading to their new Status 8T system.
