Somebody put some time in these and lots of bucks them drivers our not cheap. Kind of baffled by the clear plastic tube creating a chamber for the woofer I mean that’s a big opening or maybe there ment to be used with big subs !

Most likely they replaced the diaphragms in them . I’ve herd them before in other monitors they do sound very good they are easy to replace. Those bullet tweeters go for around 1.000 a pair . I’ve never understood the ohmage on these I’ve seen them anywhere from 16 ohms down to 4 ohms . There’s a lot of them on eBay .

Thiel is long gone. The original maker passed away, then the company got bought out by venture vultures and tried selling Chinese-made "audiophile" and "lifestyle" speakers which completely ignored the design principles of the original products. That failed spectacularly and they had a big liquidation auction last year.

I thought I read that somewhere they got bought out and no doubt run it in to the ground that seems to happen all to frequently. Lol I run across a company just yesterday making and selling what I’d call knock off K- Horns that looked legit till ya looked at the back instead of a horn at the top they had an array of some small drivers of dubious looks wired in parallel no sign of crossover to be seen in any picture lol !
