Depends on what you want to do with them. If you're running a real SPL competition, then yes, these subs a descent, not good. There are much better sub for your money.

If you just want somthing to sound good while driving around, then no, these will dissapoint you.

if you're wanting a good sounding sub, I would reccomend these

Adire Audio Brahma 12"

If you're wanting SPL, and lots of it, I would reccomend these

Kicker Solo-Baric L7

I've never heard a single positive remark about anything from Audiobahn.

I have, however, heard many good things about Adire.
You might also take a look at Alumapro Alchemy, Focal Polyglass, JL W6.

I'll agree that Focal makes some good speakers, but not good subwoofers. And the JL is a little over the range he was looking to spend I believe.

Look into some IDQ's from Image Dynamics... GREAT subs.. great balance in sound, and they have good db output as well. Don't need a million watts to run them either. This is just for daily driving right? No spl comps? 250-300rms to each IDQ would be sublime.

Biggest thing though... whatever sub you get, make sure you match it together with a proper box that's well built. The box can make or break how your sub sounds.

ehh.. those perfects handle power, but are a bit overrated. not bad subs though, but don't pay retail. you can get them tons cheaper online.

True, I got mine from http://www.ikesound.com for ~$175. I'd have to say it's a damn good sub for the money. And if you don't like the Infinity, get the Polk Momo then, similar products for about the same price.

These subs meet the mounting depth requirements, like ~ 1ft of airspace, and won't break the pocketbook.

*EDIT* Here is a link to the IDQ subwoofers.

It really would help if you let us know what type of system you're trying to put together.

a beauty of the IDQ woofers.. TINY sealed box space needed and great sound with some impact. I put a single 10" IDQ in a .5 sealed box in a friends acura CL and it was more than enough. Also, they don't need much power too. Consider what your budget it all together, because when you're looking at nothing but 900+ rms amps and such.. you're asking for a charging system upgrade as well. Extra power's always nice, but for daily driving purposes... you don't even need that much at all. You'd be surprised how little power you actually use in a daily listening format.
