are there outdoor speakers with volume control?

Do any speakers come with a volume control right on them so you dont have to go back in house to receiver?

If not, is it worth/easy to set up a volume knob? do you just run the speaker wire in it, then output to speakers?

if your powering them off of zone2, you can get a universal remote with an rf to ir reciever, then not only would you have volume control, but source also

a universal remote that sends a radio freq signal to a "box" the box the sends infrared signals to your components,(no ointing and long range) like these

If you cant do RF remote with ease (RF works off radio frequency and goes through walls at pretty long distance) you could by an "L pad" volume control from parts express for as little as $4....it would be wired in line with speakers and works great, I use one on my deck. Volume Contol

A standard stereo Volume Control accepts the high level speaker outputs from the receiver and connects to each speaker. It is between the receiver in the speakers. An indoor version cost about $25. It will cost extra for an oudoor weather resistant version or enclosure if you want to mount it outside.

I have VCs in each room of my whole house system and it is very convenient for turning the music off or adjusting the volume.
