Are Speaker Spikes necessary?

I have not heard much about speaker spikes around here and am wondering what kind of difference they would make for my subs that are on the carpet with no stand or feet. Also how would they be attached to the speaker? Thanks

Only if you have deep sag carpets and the speaker on top would wobble at the touch otherwise. If not, nothing to worry about.
