I am putting up a new wall in the basement to close off ,my HT but i have 4 coax,2 phone,4 speaker,1 ethernet lines that need to go through it, for the most part it looks like a keystone jack would work except i dont like the connector for the ethernet on the inside of it, it has like 8 connectors where i individually connect the internal wiring of the cable? screw that there will only be about 5" in between the connection
What are my other options? let me know if that didint make any sense

here is what im talking about on the ethernet jacks that i dont like why cant it just be double sided

Thats probbaly what you're looking for. In most cases its just as easy to punch down the CAT5 to the regular style keystone jacks as it is to crimp on an Rj45 end. And its more reliable when done properly which is why you mainly see the ones like what youve found.
Unless it's CAT 5e it will only work at low speeds. That device doesn't say CAT 5e, only CAT 5

It's really easy to punch in each of the 8 wires in a keystone jack, they are color coded, and it's easier than it looks. You don't need any special tools either, just strip the cat 5 insulation with some scissors, and you can punch the individual wires down with a small flathead screwdriver if you don't have an impact tool.

actually you dont even strip the wire when you punch down as the little metal contacts will cut through the insulation and make a connection with the conductor. I know the leviton ones you get at home depot come with this little plastic punch down tool thing but I have never used it. I'm sure it doesnt work as well as the real thing (or cut off the excess wire) but its probably better than nothing.

yes that is what im looking for,Thanks, it just seems silly to wire 2 ends on each side of the inner wall when they are only like 5" apart, i dont know if i need cat 5,5e,or6
I have 10Mb download speed from mediacom, this wire will run from my router to the wall to my xbox 360

It really doesnt matter, The speeds you'll be using are still well below what even cat5 is rated for.

Thanks, Jeff. After thinking about it, I ended up doing this using the 'B' pattern. I read that 'B' is the preferred coding now.

I do have another question. We wired the house with each jack going to a central hub, but I had to add two jacks in series at the last minute (after the walls were closed in). How do I make the series connection in those boxes using the Keystone jack?

Thanks for all of the help.
