Are JBL MR25's any good?

I came across a pair of these speakers and can't find much info about them... however, they sound great IMO... I was thinking of upgrading but would be quite happy keeping these considering how they sound... Can anyone who knows anything about speakers enlighten me about these bookshelves?

I found this ebay auction and they seemed to go for a pretty decent price considering how old they might be:

I would stay away from those. They have a VERY cheap foam surround (not saying all foam surrounds are cheap, but those reek).

For a similar price, check out BIC. the DV62 something or anothers... can't remember their name.

Good speaker for the $$

Actually I already have the JBL's (and they are in superb shape)... haha. I've had them for a while, I got them off a good friend a while back. I guess I just want to know how old they are and how good they might be... they sound pretty good to me, but then again what do I know?!?!

Do you think those BIC DV62si would sound much better?

I couldn't say. I would have to A b test them.

But, as long as you like them, who am I to tell you they suck etc etc. Happy listening.

If you like them and the way they sound - then what else matters??
Speakers are like fine wines - what tastes good to another may not be appreciated by someone else.
