Are all RCA's interchangeable?

Someone from caraudioforum.com sent me over here and said you guys were much more qualified to answer this question. I'm installing a system in my car and have run into a little hiccup. I'm one set of audio RCA's short. Then I got the bright idea to use some extra component video cables I have lying around. It sounded like a great idea at the time but now I'm not so sure. Someone over at caraudioforum said that the component video cable has a different impedance than the audio RCAs. Any input would be greatly appreciated. -Connor

Should be no problem. 75-ohm video RCAs work for analog audio, subwoofer, or digital coax. Go ahead and do it, you won't hurt a thing.

I agree with Jaxvon. Any cable with an RCA connector on it will work. When I install systems, I use RG-6 coaxial cable for just about anything that uses an RCA connector. It's cheap and high quality.
