This is pretty good, not great, but enjoyable. It's not really a critique of exotic investments on Wall Street (I spent some time trying to explain arbitrage to my wife, but it was not needed), but the story of a guy, played by Richard Gere, who is in over his head in his investments and whose life is coming apart due to his life style. An endangered corporate buyout, a dead mistress and a nosy detective make for an excellent "B" suspense flick. Gere is quite good, trying to keep his head above water in his delicate situation. Susan Sarandon is his wife, trying to maintain her situation and keep up appearances and is surprising as an actress NOT trying to cover up her age. Brit Marling, as Gere's daughter, doesn't need to cover up her appearance, but is about to get a lesson in the combat environment of high finance. If your expectations are not too high, it's worth seeing.
