Very little has been written about Aragon components. Yet, their Stage One pre/pro and their amplifiers 2007 and 3005 have received rave reviews in various publications. If any of you have knowedge or experience with Aragon (their service, any breakdowns, how well they sound, etc.), I would appreciate hearing from you. Thanks.

Thank you for the history of the Klipsch-Aragon problems with the Audioholics forum. It sure sounds as if they have something to hide. I am still wondering about the four great reviews I have read of the Stage One and ther 3005 amp. I wish someone would clear up this mystery. It seems every time I make up my mind what to buy, I read very negative comments soon thereafter. Does this happen to everybody or just me? Anyway, Gene, thanks again for the info.

Jesse;

Take the good and bad with a grain of salt and only use it as a guideline to help narrow down your buying options. I am sure the Stage One and 3005 are fine performers. My only concern with the Stage One is the lack of upgradeability Klipsch has shown over the last 2-3 years of its life cycle. IMO it is missing too many key features to justify its price class.

I have been very pleased with my Aragon Stage One pre-pro. Rarely, I will have to unplug the unit for 5 minutes to reset the computer when test tones do not come up properly. Other than that issue, it has been great. Two channel is absolutely silent, setting channel levels is by .5 dB, distances are in inches, the tuner is decent but not perfect, I like the different modes to play around with, but don't use them much. I bought mine for $2500 and felt that was fair for a never-used amp (the dealer was going out of business). There is plenty of competition in the MSRP $4000 range. Hope this helps. Good luck!

I agree with Gene. I've been researching my new system for about a year now and I have finally gotten the OK to order from my wife. It seemed like for a long time I would finally decide on a piece of equipment and then I would read something bad about it. Keep researching. Read as much as you can. And remember, no matter how hot the supermodel is, someone out there can't stand the sight of her. It doesn't mean you have to agree with them. Trust your own ears and gut.
