So I am an idiot...I am sure some of you already know that

Purchased the IPhone X, got the T-Mobile Version, figured I paid for it outright and would just switch to Verizon. The AT&T and T-Mobile Versions use Intel's chipset while the Sprint and Verizon use Qualcom.

Bottom line, I have a phone shipping that will need to be used with a GSM Network, if I had chosen Sprint or Verizon I could use on either CDMA or GSM.

I thought Apple got away from this, but my fault for not doing my homework

Verizon and Sprint both use CDMA based tech so it's not a exactly radio issue (like: GSM)
The problem is Verizon is using very proprietary security features which only Qualcom provides.
In Europe is none-issue - pretty much everyone standardized on GSM and switching cellphone service provides is as easy as switching a sim card. No so much in US.
