Apple 8GB iPod Touch

The biggest thing about the Touch that differs from any other iPod in the line is the touch screen and the size of the viewing screen itself. Now, I had the chance to get an 80gb iPod Classic (which I would have loved the storage on it) but, to be honest, I couldn't begin to listen or watch that many hours straight on the Classic (but the on hand selection would be great). And, if I was going to watch video, I wanted a bigger screen. So, the Touch was pretty much it.

Right now, I almost have 2GB of music on it, and 300MB for video/pictures and I'm almost out of music... almost. So, video will be what I put on it after everything else.. and I have a feeling I will have enough for a 6 hour flight.

And... I have some batteries charging right now for my camera, so we will have some pictures after a bit. :D

Worried about screen size on an iPod?

I hate to sound mean or anything, but there's not a real delicate way of putting this: isn't being amazed at the size of a video display on an iPod Touch sort of like being amazed about... well, I dunno.

Either of the displays you described is tiny, and I'm just not sure what the appeal is of paying to download video off of iTunes to watch on a postage-stamp size display when I can watch it for free on a huge display. I guess that's what I just can't get.

If you travel a lot the bigger Itouch screen is very much appreciated over the regular Ipods for watching T.V shows and movies.

Seriously, I have no life.
And if you use iTunes on a computer that's connected to a network with wireless access, the Touch will control iTunes very easily.

I like my touch but I wish I had got the 16GB. Also, I use the web surfing more than I use the music or video.
