I'm looking to upgrade my music/home theatre system. I'm using Monitor Audio bronze series speakers for the last 7 years. They are nice but lack significant low end and definitely require a sub for music... which i'd rather not have to do. I'm using a Klipsch KSW 12 right now. Will probably upgrade to a SVS PB13 ultra after upgrading the rest of the system. My receiver is a Denon AVR 1909... a nice receiver w/ the latest codecs but i'll probably go to seperate components from Outlaw or Emotiva in the near future once they release their newest preamps/processors w/ Dolby True HD and DTS Master.

I'm looking for speakers that are warm and smooth but w/ really good tight/natural low end that can pump out the bass w/ some good rock music but don't muddy the jazz. I don't want speakers that are overly bright and fatiguing in the trebles. Again, smooth is good... but so is detail.

Right now i'm leaning towards the MTS-01 system. Seems like a better value, made in the U.S. (from what i've read) and has just as many positive reviews as the aperions.

I'm also considering PSB Imagine, Paradigm Studio, Focal Chorus 800, and Monitor Audio Silver series'. I know the PSB, Paradigms, and Focals are a bit above the price point of the MTS, Aperion, and Monitor audio's... but my question is this... is there a quality gap too?

I can't spea for all of them but i have seen the PSB before and the MTS-01 do not give up any quality to them. IMO te MTS-01 are made very well and would be hard to beat around that price range they have very nice fit & finish.

I have the 6Ts and I listen to 2 channel music quite a bit. The 6ts have plenty of bass when listening to music. I crank them pretty loud and they stay clear and are not fatiguing to listen to.
