APC Vs Panamax Vs Monster

Hi Folks,
I know this has been discussed a lot but I can't find specific information that I am looking for. More specifically, I am not able to find many users that own the equipment and can comment on it (specific to APC S15). So the race is between
1) APC S15
2) APC H15
3) Panamax 5100
4) Monster Power 3600 MKII.

They have different price. The S15 is the only one with battery backup. Anyone here is using that or have any idea how it is. Also as it has a battery backup, does it run more on electricity bill every month and if so by how much?

I don't care about the number of outlets (as they are pretty much the same) but what I care more is about value for money and more important that I stay in California and they rainy season here are longer than other places. I want to use my system during this time.

Another competitor would be Furman but I am not too sure about them.

Thanks

If you're not sure of Furman, you just proved that you haven't looked into this very much. Furman is one of the largest manufacturers of power supply/conditioning equipment for live concert venues and they're part of the same company, with Panamax.

The battery backup is only active when the power dips significantly or goes out completely. If your power sags and/or goes out on a regular basis, you and others in your area need to go after the power company (I suspect it's PG&E) because they have a responsibility to provide what you pay for.

Another you could look at is Cyber Power. They make some continuous sine wave output UPS's.

Your looking at about $500-600 though.

**Edit: I take that back. CyberPower offers a Smart App unit from Buy.com for $359.

It could be a pricing error or just an incredibly good deal. Not sure about any noise this unit would make (most likely the fan will come on when the power is out).
