theres none that effects the bass, i THINK discrete material is crossing over correctly, just not PLII, PLII crosses over fine with a sub but not with the mains, what im listening to is two channel music in PLII music mode, although i have tested all modes and tested it with neo 6, circle surround II etc and it has the same problem with all of them. bass will cross over fine with a sub but with the fronts designated for bass reproduction it just cuts off the bass from all of them if i set any of them to small, i did notice that when all of the speakers are set to large bass seems to come out of all of them, even the surrounds, which is kind of weird. For example, when enabling the center as large i get more bass from the fronts as well. setting any of them as small just chops them all off. i do know that PLII is supposed to create an LFE channel from the bass content so maybe its doing this and maybe its post processing the material at the end of the audio chain if that makes sense and therefore since there is no sub its just dropping the bass all together, this is the only idea i can come up with. but then again if i leave them all set to large even with PLII enabled and a sub enabled nothing comes out of the sub, honestly the whole scenario makes no sense to me as to why. i also know the "BOTH" function for outputting bass to both the sub and fronts doesent function in any matrix modes. i also cannot route the bass from just the surrounds into the sub if i set it as small, im thinking the PLII has its own form of bass management. CSII creates a sub channel if all the speakers are set to large and bass is set to mix also and changing the large or small settings with CSII on has no effect on what comes out of the sub, which really tells me that the matrix modes have their own bass management, it also only puts out material below around 50hz even if i set the crossover to 120hz. maybe this is the issue i dont know.
