I'm not interested in paying for any kind of streaming service. I still buy cds.

Blah, they are wasting their time with stuff like that. I guess they just make stuff like this up just to get more money? Just like your last poster said, i still download music for a lot cheaper price than Sony. And i'm sure Sony will screw that up by putting some type of DRM on the music to only play in their players. They seem good at doing stuff like that.

I'd be personally more of an advocate of downloading your music, then using something like TVersity to stream your music to your PS3.

Meant to quote... (not edit :) )

Just saw this and wondering any insights on it.Also can be used with the ps3.Dont know about itunes.http://www.hometheater.com/content/sony-stream-music
I could see using a streaming service to listen for new to you artists and then going out, finding the cd's, then cancel the service. Just too many compromises. With Sony I expect heavily DRM'd, low bit rate audio/low resolution audio in streaming form. Don't need that.

Plus when you have the CD, they can't take it away from you.

Look further back in Sony history for the failed Sony Connect, a music download service which shut its virtual doors in 2008 after failing to make a dent in iTunes.
They just don't get it...
