Anyone remember the Sci-fi series "V"?

I liked it from what I can remember (I was about eight when it first aired in '84). They are coming out with a remake later this year on ABC:

I remember it. That was a pretty freaky show. That birth of the alien-human baby was nasty, as far as I can recall.

The new special effects look far better, though (no surpise there). :)

I remember the show. I never really got into it though.

As a kid, that show freaked me out, especially the twin babies being born scene. The first kid came out looking normal then it stuck out it's lizard tongue, then that second kid wasnt really born, he literraly crawled his way out. man that was freaky to a kid at the time. I recall the sreies over time just got more and more stupid, but the first season was great.

I don't remember the "birth" scene, guess it's for the better.:p I think the show only made it two seasons.

Yeah, we watched every episode. They also had a short ived TV series. The only peope I remember are Marc Singer (Beastmaster) and Robert Englund (Freddy Kreuger).

I hear this V has LAura Vandernoot (sp?) who is very easy on the eyes in a chubby-cheeked chipmunk kinda way, not that that's a bad thing.

That's Juliet from "Lost" in the trailer.

Well at least it has a couple of good "special" effects going for it. ;)

I remember the original quite well. It wasn't bad. A bit cheesy at times ala BGS. (Battle Star Galactica for those of you playing from home)

This one will be worth a look.

I remember it and will probably check out the remake. But like so many remakes, it'll probably suck worst than the original.

The only thing I remember about the show is a lady (I suppose an alien) swallowing a live small bird.

I remember it being a couple of movies first. The movies were cool, but the series was dumb.

I also remember them eating live mice. Wasn't Robert Englund's character kinda retarded in the show? I remember him being dopey.

Robert's character wasn't retarded; he was educated in (I think) Saudi Arabian language and customs, then there was a screwup and he got sent to Los Angeles. So he didn't know the English language all that well, and his knowledge of customs and etiquette was deficient too. (I guess anyone new to North American culture will be considered retarded by us -- very sad.)

I loved the initial movies and TV series, although it scared the crap out of me as a kid! And man, that Diana was such a babe (for a lizard, of course!).

The new leader of the Visitors will be played by Morena Baccarin (from Firefly), and her character's name is Anna. I can't imagine she'll be quite as cool as Jane Badler, who played Diana, but at least she's easy on the eyes too. :)

cheers,
supervij
