Anyone know about KEF Tower iQ9. I have a shot at getting a pair for 600.00.....................too much?

no, not if thay are in good shape; thay list for $1200 a pair

that's a great price for some iq9's....Id be all over that! Great speakers at their price point!

I am sorry, did anyone care to look at the link I posted. They can be had or less than $500 new at a few online retailers. Spending $600 on a pair would be nonsense if you can get them for $430, that is unless, if you like to tell people to waste money.

Uh dude...seth...that's a piece price...not for a pair! :confused: Trust me...you're not going to get those speakers at $420 a pair!

HERE is a nice review @ Stereophile.

KEFs are great speakers, but keep in mind that they are a "finesse" (as opposed to "brutish") type speaker. They can sound a bit thin and lacking a bit in dynamics with certain source material. They are also very revealing of poor recordings and poor upstream electronics.

very true, in a way it's irritating to find out how poorly recored some of your music is :D .
I have hered people say that the iQ9s are as good as B&W 703s, which I believe is close to being true.

Isn't that a quality of most great speakers?
