(i've been at a bar all night so bare with me) ---- personally i have always avoided infinity speakers & especially their amps. i havent seen their products in the last 2-3yrs (thank god). i've never seen their amps in action (all my friends tell me they are wayyyy under powered & blow up), & as far as their speakers u can get way better sound quality & durability from another company for that price.... mb quart, focal, etc... hit up ebay

that sub has a weird impedance, dual 1.5 ohm voice coils, so you are gonna have to find an amp that puts out a lot of power at 3 ohms, or .75 ohms, but I doubt you will be able to find many amps that will be stable at .75 ohms. Your best bet is to run it off a JL 1000/1. Or an Elemental Designs NINe.1 1200x1 @ 1 ohm, and it should be able to handle a .75 ohm load, but I would email them just to be sure. That amp will rock the piss out of a 13w7. Or you could stack two of them together and really bring the house down.

Their speakers are actually pretty good once you get up to the Kappa line. Amps, not quite as good, but not crap. You can do better.

Yeah it looks like either way you need a high current amp.

I wouldnt run an amp that will only do 4ohm mono on that because you would be pushing it.

You would be better off finding another one and an amp that can push them.

I used to install back in the late 90s and had experience with infinity speakers but not amps. I built a bandpass for a single 10" that the other installer ended up buying! The Kappa line is pretty decent sounding but MB Quart or even JL seperates (if they still make them) are better.

Speaking of which, I have the following "vintage" gear I will probably never use, let me know if anyones interested.

Phoenix gold MPS-2240 (1/4 ohm stereo stable)
Phoenix gold M44
EQX
4XS
