+3 for Oppo,
but you want to consider PS3 as BR player, due to fact - the PQ is great and it'll be first device to support 3d Blueray

You got generic answers for a generic question. It might help if you provide a little more info like HOW MUCH, what your other gear is, what your needs are, etc...

Oppo is always a good choice though :)

Oppo is a great company with a great product, which is why you will hear that response so often.

I'm a fan of Panasonic players which tend to be no-frills models which are a good price and (typically) just work.

I avoid Samsung and LG which throw a ton of bells and whistles into their product, but then forget to actually make the product a good BD player.

The PS3 is a great way to go as a player as it offers a ton of value for the money and always seems to be cutting edge and gets constant performance enhancing updates.

If 3D is a feature you may want, long term, then the PS3 and new Panasonic BD player (BD300 or something) are good choices to consider.

But, for overall solid BD/DVD performance, Oppo is a great way to go.

PowerDVD Ultra v9 or Ultra 3D v10, but it requires Vista/Win 7 , HDMI out with HDCP compatible Video card and monitor

Thanks very much, I think I will chose the Power DVD 10, I need to play Avatar with it.
