Be aware that you are probably going to be storing music on your PC using lossy compression unless you have goo-gobs of available storage for uncompressed sound files, then transmitting it to a receiver that that will render it back to speakers that are better than your PC. Lossy compression is OK if the speakers or listening environment are bad enough to mask the distortion, muddy detail and artifacts of mp3 or WMA files (like a portable media player on a transit bus), but if you are transmitting to a decent sound system those files will sound crappy. You might end up hearing all the things you miss on PC speakers, and that might not be good.
