Anyone have comments about the new Pioneer VSX916?

hi everyone - new member here.

so I am in the market for a new entry level reciever. Was looking to get the Pioneer VSX815 until i realized its discontinued and that the 816 has taken over. Seems to have more input/output and 10wpc more...

Decided on the 815 after reading the review on here... anyone have any experience with the 816?

Also, how does the Yamaha 5640 measure up to the pioneer?

I own a VSX-815 and honestly, you should consider laying out the extra money and taking a look at the Marantz SR-5500. Depends on which you fancy more, movies or music. Marantz perform both incredibly well however there stronger in music. Pioneer however can be considered to perform good in movies and have good features for there budget. However if your a sucker for features there good if you want raw sound quality Marantz or Harman Kardon would be the go.
