Anyone have an opinion on samsung DLP??

I have the 50" version of this TV and I've had it for a few weeks now. The picture is wonderful but the one thing I would recommend is that you read up on any lip-sync problems.

I have noticed that when playing PS2 on the Samsung via component input, there is a split-second delay between the buttons pushed on the game controller and the actual action on the screen. I've read that this is due to the digital processing done by the TV. This makes certain games nearly unplayable, mostly sports games. I have noticed that driving games are still mostly playable, such as Gran Turismo 4 for example. I tried playing NFL2k5 in widescreen 480p and it was somewhat playable except for the kicking or punting meters. It was very hard to time the kick meter while adjusting for the delay.

I have noticed absolutely no lip-sync problems with watching DVD's or digital cable. If you're not a game player then this TV may be OK for ya.

If I had known about this delay problem prior to purchasing this TV, I probably would have continued shopping. I will probably keep the TV due to the hassle of trying to return it and the fact that I don't have the time to play games like I used to. Working 60 hour weeks will put a damper on any free-time activities.
