For $478 on black Friday? I did and the picture is pretty decent. It's amazing that you can get a 32" widescreen LCD for under $500. I paid over $600 5-6 years ago for a 36" samsung bubble tube 4:3 tv. :p

I had to set one up for someone after they got it two days ago. It has decent picture for $500 32". Element makes computer monitors too.

At Staples they had a MAG 32" for the same price. Personally I recomended that one over the Element, but they got the Element. Oh well.

I paid $500 for my JVC 27" flat tube 4 years ago.:D

Crazy huh. I watched it some more last night. Analog isn't too hot, but High def and dvd looks good. I'm impressed for as little as I spent. I think my wife paid $399 2 years ago on black Friday for a 20" 4:3 LCD. Yikes ... 2 years and look at the price drops.

Element 32" LCD

I picked one up - for the money, you can't beat it. I bought the extended service plan on mine, too, for $50 extra dollars cause the deal was so good. Plus, I had never heard of Element before. I think they're site is www.elementelectronics.com, but they seem really new. The picture quality is good, it's easily hooked up to a home surround system, and it hasn't given me grief so far....

What do you guys think?

On the upswing buying "off-brands" make the big guys (Sony,Panasonic, etc.) lower their prices in order not to miss a piece of the "low" end market. I just saw the Panny 42" hi-def (not the ED) for 1298.00, that tv went for over $3K last year! I'm willing to make a prediction: by this time next year, you'll be able to pick up premium brand plasmas (42"HD)for well under $1K and I'll bet Panasonic will be leading the charge.

Picked up one at Home Depot for $430 after 10% off coupon.
It's pretty decent....So far, i've connected my Dish DVR box, Nintendo Wii, DVD player, Co-ax cable & Xbox 360.
The results are amazing for the DVD & the Xbox.
I didn't see a whole lot of difference with the S-video cable connected to my Dish DVR box.
But overall, a great TV for the price.

Well I saw the Panny 42 ED plasma for 998.00 yesterday and the sales guy told me he can knock off another 100.00.

The Panny 42 HD, 1298.00, Let me tell you, I think by June of next year, you'll be seeing top brand 42 HDs for waaay under $1K.

I stood in line so I could get my girl one. No way was she going to get one by herself with all those people ready to trample anyone who got in their way! I like it and so does she. I should have gotten the extended warranty though. She doesn't have high def yet, but I'll probably take my 360 over there and give it a whirl and see what it can do.
