That is a 8 pin DIN connector. Just joined the forum and saw this post. It's not an old connector, just not very common on US products. C2G has a good page that provides information on this type of connector.

The problem is you are wrong. This is the 8 pin DIN

I'm pretty sure it is a Turbovision connector.



It would be very helpful if the OP posts what the unit in question is. That would help make the identification more certain. The Turbovision connector was used on some older Panasonic equipment. It was also used on the Nintendo N64.

That is as really rare connector and I have never seen one, and I have seen a lot. I have no idea where you would find one, except by being patient on eBay.
