I remember reading this short story/novella years ago and thinking to myself "Man, this would make a great movie." But after seeing King book after King book being butchered into mediocre films I gave up hope. A few weeks ago I saw the first trailer for it and almost fainted. I remember listening to The Mist in "3-D Audio" years ago as well.
Well, my dream finally came true this weekend. After getting my theatre room painted this weekend I went and saw it.
It got better treatment than alot of other King books, maybe because it was a novella and there wasn't much to take out. If you have the chance, read the novella before you see the film. Of course you know who the real stars of the show are. But CGI aside, it was a decent ride.
