Anybody own any JMLab/Focal speakers?

Hmm..the SECOND to the top of the line made Stereophile's
Speaker of the Year for 2004. They must be doing something right.

My experience is that the brand consistantly puts out incredible product.

Focal is very well regarded among large manufacturers, I've heard the Utopia's as well and thought they sounded great. Price is ridiculous though.

JM labs products

I've heard several of the JM Labs lines (Nove Utopia, Utopia, Electra, Cobalt, etc), and I've always been impressed. Well constructed but with a noticeable sweetspot, you can shut your eyes and swear that the band was sitting in front of you at a small cafe. I personnally wouldn't spend that kind of dosh for speakers (the Novas cost more than my pickup and *both* my motorcycles put together), but if you've got the money to blow and like the sound you'll never regret it. The only thing I've heard comparable to the Nova Utopias is the Avalon Eidolon Diamonds...but they're just as insanely pricey.

Bryan...which ones were you looking at?...
