System Audio speakers are very popular in my neck of the woods (Ireland) and generally provide very good sound for the money. The sound is fast, clean, with decent but not floor-shaking bass. Their slim cabinets image very well, and are generally popular with other halves! At around the $1000-2000 mark they provide a notable alternative to B&Ws for example. They suit the smaller Irish listening/living rooms very well, but I'm not sure how they would fare in the bigger rooms that seem more common in the US.
Having owned a pair of SA1280s and been happy with them, I'm now quite tempted to replace my PMC OB-1's with a pair of SA Explorers. I heard the Explorers and thought they were really great. For a long time System Audio had nothing in this range and it was a glaring omission. I would rate the Explorers about the B&W 802D, slightly above actually, although I'll admit that I'm not a B&W fan in the first place.
If you find them they're well worth a listen, especially if you're looking for something slimline in a smaller room.
