Anybody have a Pioneer Receiver?

Hey guys,

I have a pioneer vsx-d412k and I was wondering if anyone has experienced little or no bass output when your front speakers are set for large and your subwoofer setting is on "PLS"? Should the subwoofer setting in "PLS" and the front speakers set to "Large" send as much bass signal to the sub as if the front speakers were set for "Small" and the subwoofer setting is in the "ON" selection? Any help would be appreciated, this is getting frustrating. I have front tower speakers and I would like to be able to send the bass to them as well as to the sub. You can not even hear the subwoofer when the speakers are set to "Large" and the subwoofer is set to the "ON" position, but when you select "PLS" there is a little difference. I have also adjusted volume controls on both the receiver and the sub as well as adjusted the cross-overs on both.

Thanks

See if your receiver has a bass peak limiter function. Check the owner's manual. If it does, turn it off. That will solve your problem.
