Does anyone have any experience with the new SpyderTV system from colorvision.

It looks like a good way to calibrate a TV at close to ISF standards.

If Audioholics could do a review on this product, that would be great.

Hello

We now have this product in-house for review. They were at CEDIA and the product appears like it performs as advertised for basic adjustments but only a review will substantiate this ;)

..needs more...

I have looked into these products and have used one for work, the Spyder2Pro. In regards to what it does for your colour matching they are for the money, superb perfomers.

I have inquired many times with colorvision on the SpyderTV product and its use with front projector systems. Sadly this model is not yet equipped to do such a task. The Spyder2Pro is capable but only with a version 2.0 software upgrade, free for donwload from colourvisions site. Even then, the software merely creates a file for the monitor or projector to use from when connected to a computer. You can do some manual configurations but they fall a bit short on what the SpyderTV is capable of.

SpyderTV looks like the goods for the home theatre enthusiast and once they offer front projection capability I'm sure they will get a flurry of orders, mine being one of them. To even get a clinical eye one basic tenets of RGB, gain, hue and grey scale is a plus.

So, I will be interested to see how the review pans out here. Would love to know in-depth ability of the software, screen shots and the like and what they have to offer as well as type of test material that is produced via the supplied disc for the calibration process.
